I got hacked by the app Hiatus. Don’t add the app it will only hurt you like it did to me. I had to change my phone, phone number, email and all other accounts. It ruined my life for a period and maybe still.

THIS THING IS STILL CHARGING ME HOW DO I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION

So hard to cancel, practically a scam. Finally canceled after a year. Glad you got hundreds of dollars from me for such a worthless service. I know 20 apps that do it better.

I had this app a year ago and to this day im STILL fighting the fact that they’re charging me $8 bi-weekly. I have tried logging into every email I own, tried contacting my bank to stop it, customer service was 0 help saying they had no record of me having a subscription on any account yet im still charged for something that was a free trial A YEAR AGO. This app also didnt help at all, didnt recognize half of the subscriptions or bills I had, and any time i wanted to cancel something i just ended up having to go to the original app i was purchasing and cancel it manually.

They charged me money and it is so hard to get the answer why. I haven’t bought anything from that app.

Hiatus is easily one of the most unethical apps out there. They tout that they save you money on subscriptions but even when you cancel the app, with proof, they will not refund you the charges they have made secretly on your bank account. I was being charged for seven months without knowing. Be careful, if you decide to cancel your membership, watch your bank account. Had I said nothing, they would have continued to charge me for who knows how long. Not worth it!!!

Listing of subscriptions, amount in accounts is not accurate/exact. Several cards I have already paid off still accounting. For a financial app to work, the data has to match up. Otherwise, what’s the point - you can do the same thing on excel in a budgeting template. What I really didn’t like is how you are sort of “tricked” into a subscription. They are not upfront about a monthly subscription, but ask you to “donate” on a sliding scale what you can afford, but you don’t notice that’s actually what you choose to pay MONTHLY. There is no transparency around this or clarity for a novice user. Until you look at your account and realize you’ve been paying $10 a month the last 8 months. Very unethical.

I canceled my account over a year ago and they are still charging me. Don’t waste your time or money with this company. It is a complete rip off.

Canceled my subscription and I’m still getting billed every month

This app is great for keeping up with your budgets, tracking bills, and they lower them too. I cancelled hella subscriptions and got my phone bill lower in a few days after signing up for the app. I saw a bunch of reviews about the monthly fee but I think it’s worth it fr you can cancel whenever you want so I don’t really know why everyone seems so surprised. Thanks again Hiatus, you guys are baller.

Hiatus saved me $27 a month on my internet bill! I was able to cancel 3 subscriptions in a day. Well worth the money and time. Their support is fast, responsive, and super helpful.

Every time I try cancelling my subscription it doesn’t allow me… I’ve been getting charged $10/month for God knows how long now

I got the app and set up an account and did the subscription that from my understanding I would be charged $4/month for a total of $48 if I had it for a year which I thought was a good deal but the app was not at all what I expected and in less than an hour of setting up the account I cancelled the subscription and closed the account as it’s not something I would be using any further.. the next day I was charged an entire years worth ($48) for the subscription even though my account subscription was canceled and account disconnected… I would understand being charged the $4 for the month if I had access to it for the month after cancelling but that was not the case and they charged me for the entire year and once the subscription was cancelled I lost immediate access to everything included in the subscription instead of being able to use for the rest of the month and only be charged $4….

Nice job presenting that people need to pay to keep track of their payments. I lost so much money because yall decided to keep charging me when i deactivated my account. I dont even know how to delete it because there is no option for that. I decided to get the app again to recheck that i have deactivated and NOW THERE IS NO OPTION TO DO ANYTHING. Biggest scam out there. Dont get this app.

It honestly did nothing, and I submitted a cancelation form and was still charged THE NEXT DAY. Don’t waste your money. I filled out the form for a refund they sent me three times and got an email the next day acting as if I never even filled it out.

This app had really changed my perspective on saving money. I would really recommend getting it if your living with roommates and trying to working on saving money and being independent. A 10/10 app for sure!!!

Canceled this subscription and I was still charged for for months after. Customer service is awful and I can not get a hold of them.

Wanted to see if this app is better than Rocket Money (which it’s not) and all of a sudden I see a $10 charge from Hiatus saying that I purchased the premium thing. Wouldn’t recommend this app they just want money. Download Rocket Money so much better and easier.

Beatriz was a great help when I was in need of assistance with canceling a subscription I wasn't aware of, even issuing a partial refund. So I'll be taking up the rest of it with my bank. Thank you again!!

I haven’t had this app in forever doesn’t show u have any subscriptions added and this stupid app is still charging my bank account

It’s a great app though I love it.

I randomly came across this app and thought this couldn’t be what it says. It showed me what I was spending and I used the app one time. Somehow along my time forgetting about the app, I signed up to pay $10 a month for a service I don’t use. I contacted them and they said they cancelled my subscription yet for the last 10 months I’ve been getting charged so I filed a dispute with my bank. I’m waiting to hear back from my bank.

I downloaded it saying it free its not charges 10 bucks a month I deleted the app because I don’t use it and I still get charged and i can’t delete my subscription because I never got one I need a email or phone number

Added my bank account and chose not to have a subscription. I open my bank account 2 days later and there is a 10 dollar charge from this app that hasn’t cancelled ANY of my subscriptions.

Don’t get this app it looks nothing like the ads say and it take money out of your account

This app has saved me so much money through budgeting, bill negotiations, and canceling my subscriptions I forgot about. The Premium subscription is beyond worth it and I’d highly suggest.

When I begun using the app, I accidentally subscribed to a monthly payment. I immediately emailed support on a refund. They instantly responded, provided refund, and was very helpful. Loving the app too, there’s room for improvement, but it has helped me significantly.

I didn’t enter any billing info, aside from linking my checking account account for the sake of budgeting, but now they’re billing me $10 a month out of that account. They don’t respond to customer service requests. Super shady. I had only used the app, but I’m not being billed through the App Store, can’t unsubscribe. I need to go to a website to unsubscribe, but I don’t have any account with them to login to. Really sketchy. Beware.

I downloaded the app to get rid of subscriptions my bank sent me a notification of a charge i didnt know of. Go through the entire process of setting up the app just to get hit with a paywall when i try to cancel a bill. In other words “add another bill to get rid of your bills”

Saw the app online and thought it was cool but did not realize it would automatically bill me every month. Went on for 3 months without noticing after deleting app. Be careful

I have had this app for a few months max. I was going through all of my transactions in my account and I saw that I was charged $10 from the app. I never signed up for a premium membership and have no idea why it said I had one but I know I would never do that on purpose. If you have/get this app keep your eyes open for transactions in your accounts!!

i hate that without even being subscribed it’s taking my money, i’m going through a rough time and had canceled any subscriptions so that i can hold onto whatever money i have and this just keeps taking out money. (i don’t even use this app nor have it downloaded anymore)

I had a Hulu account still open and they caught it. Hulu was charging me 8.99 a month and I called Hulu. Hulu said that I didn’t have an account with them but Hiatus found it and canceled it. 10/10 ❤️
